Combine your data skills with the power of weather science in our Data Apprenticeship program, where you'll help transform vast weather data into valuable insights Baltic Apprenticeships are thrilled to be partnering with MetDesk to hire a Level 4 Data Apprentice to join their team of experts. MetDesk Limited specialises in providing weather data services to its clients weather critical operations.They provide the most comprehensive range of services for weather critical markets such as Energy, Transport and Business. As an Apprentice Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the data management and analysis functions of our team. Your key responsibility will be the cataloguing and retrieval of archive data, ensuring that historical data is well-organised, accessible, and maintained according to company standards. In this role, youll work towards your Level 4 Data Analyst delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships. A Typical Day in the Job: Assist in the creation, updating, and maintenance of data catalogues, ensuring that all archived data is accurately indexed and stored. Utilise SQL to query databases, extract data, and generate reports based on specific business needs. Use Linux-based systems to manage data storage, navigate file structures, and execute basic commands related to data retrieval and organisation. Collaborate with team members to ensure data integrity and assist in the analysis of data trends and patterns. Support the implementation of data management best practices and contribute to process improvements. Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team. Salary, Hours & Benefits: Salary - £20,000 Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5 PM Annual Leave - 25 Days Bank Holidays Hybrid Working - 2/3 Days in office On-site parking Free Tea & Coffee Pool Table Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge: Basic knowledge of SQL for database querying Familiarity with Linux operating systems, including command-line navigation and file management Passion for Data A proactive approach to learning and problem-solving Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
