Acorn Insurance , a well-established provider of car, van, and home insurance across the UK, is offering a fantastic opportunity to join their IT team as an IT Support Apprentice . With over 40 years of experience in the insurance industry, Acorn is known for its exceptional customer service, competitive insurance policies, and innovative business solutions. In this role, youll work towards your Level 3 Microsoft IT Support Apprenticeship , delivered by Baltic Apprenticeships expert training team. Acorn Insurance is committed to supporting your professional development while you gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced IT environment. A Typical Day in the Job: Provide deskside and remote IT support to the business user base. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly system check processes to ensure smooth operations. Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues. Act as the first point of contact for all IT issues, security incidents, and service requests. Manage service and security incidents within a ticketing system, adhering to SLAs and meeting KPIs. Escalate more complex issues to 3rd line infrastructure as necessary. Monitor system and infrastructure availability and performance. Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and the Baltic team. Salary, Hours & Benefits: £17,270 per annum Monday to Friday on a 3-week rolling rota between 09:00 21:00, with 1 in 4 Saturdays from 09:00 17:30. Desired Qualities, Skills, and Knowledge: Passion for IT and technology Good customer service skills (previous experience is a plus). Strong communication skills. No weekend working during your apprenticeship A problem-solving mindset.? GCSE Grade 4 in Maths and Grade 5 in English is required. Your Training with Baltic: This apprenticeship provides the skills, qualifications and experience you need to immerse yourself in an exciting, fast-moving industry and become an effective IT Technician.
