Early Years Educators work with and care for children from birth to 5 years. They play a massive role in supporting children to have the best start to their education. As an Early Years specialist, you will personally help to close the gap and increase the life chances of the children you work with. The Role Working alongside qualified Early Years Practitioners and professionals, you will work towards your own Early Years Educator Level 3 qualification. Your mission is to provide exceptional early years care in a safe, nurturing and fulfilling environment whilst inspiring children to unlock their full potential through key skills and values which will establish them as gifted citizens of the world. Wage offered is apprentice minimum wage and will be £ 6.40 per hour for the first year. What do we need from you? Utilising the support and expertise of your colleagues and our Early Years Apprentice Mentor GCSE or equivalent English (Grade Grade 4/C) Desired GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade Grade 4/C) Desired The Training You will be completing an Early Years Educator Level 3 Apprenticeship. The expected duration of this course is 18 months on a full time basis. On successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will be awarded: Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship NCFE Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (EYE) Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid OR Level 3 Award Emergency Paediatric First Aid Apprentices will achieve an EYE qualification which has been approved to count towards the EYFS level 3 child: staff ratios Career Progression We want to help you progress: Wide ranging opportunities for training and career progression including Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner, EYITT, ECT, Level 3 Early Years SENCO & Forest School About the Employer Adorable Steps Childcare Limited nursery, is a privately owned day nursery located at Marlborough Street Community Centre, Oldham, OL4 1EG, approximately 5 minutes walk from Oldham Library and 3 minutes walk from Green hill academy. Our Day Nursery is registered with OFSTED to provide high-quality childcare for children aged two to five years old. We also offer after school club, and holiday club. We have an on-site chef that prepares our meals from fresh groceries considering all dietary requirements. Our nursery is purpose-built to accommodate each childs individual needs in a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment. At Adorable Steps Day Nursery, we aim to ensure that all children reach their full potential with support from our caring staff. We work closely with parents to ensure childrens seamless transition from their daily home routine into the nursery. Our day nursery is open all day each week and all year round- from 08:00 am - 06:00 pm, excluding Bank Holidays. Details of working week Planning and supervising fun and educational stimulating activities Managing a daily schedule that includes activities, toilet breaks, lunch and rest time Observing children and taking notes of any problematic behaviour Feeding and changing children (babies) Communicating with parents and staff members Ensuring the safety of children Helping children learn numeracy and language through daily activities Attend and contribute to meetings, trainings, work shift hours ADZN1_UKTJ
