Job Title: Apprenticeship Skills Tutor - Fabrication and Welding Type of Business: Education Location: Worksop Annual Salary: £35,501 Start Date: ASAP Hours: 37 GI Group are now seeking to appoint an Apprenticeship Skills Tutor to our client based in Worksop. The Apprenticeship Skills Tutor will help develop the next generation of engineers through coaching, assessing and supporting apprentices on Fabrication and Welding courses. Main Duties of the Apprenticeship Skills Tutor: To support learners to provide evidence on behaviours, underpinning knowledge, work-based skills, learning and overall progress for each apprentice. To provide coaching and skills support through developmental feedback to ensure successful timely completion of End Point Assessment (EPA). To conduct regular tripartite reviews with the apprentice line manager/mentor and apprentice to successfully complete timely EPA. To support the development and progression of a caseload of apprentices through onsite workplace visits in the creation of showcase evidence such as observations, professional discussions, witness testimonies, projects, presentations and any further evidence to support EPA requirements, this evidence will be documented within the e-portfolio OneFile. To highlight & document any operational issues to the line manager which may affect learner progression as appropriate. To set achievable tasks and provide support throughout the apprentice journey including assisting the apprentice to be prepared for any functional skills assessments. To support employers in understanding and documenting their responsibilities relating to on and off job training requirements of the apprentice. To provide pastoral support to apprentices as required including on & off the job training/e-portfolio usage and any additional support needs and strategies.Role Requirements: Experience in assessing within Apprenticeship Standards Vocationally relevant qualification at level 3 or above An A1/V1 Assessors Award Teaching qualification Knowledge of current apprenticeship standards Understanding of End Point Assessments UK drivers' licence and access to own vehicle for work Benefits: Generous Holiday Entitlement Including an extra Health and Wellbeing Day and a discretionary Christmas closure period on top of the annual holiday entitlement.
