A team of professionals based in the school enable children to gain the best possible access to their education. Speech and Language Therapists, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Nurses all work with Teachers and Teaching Assistants to meet every child's individual needs. Relationships between staff and children are the key to the positive ethos of the school, making school a happy and purposeful place where children are respected, praised and acknowledged for who they are as well as what they do. The School motto of 'Never underestimate a child's ability' is central to our philosophy and purpose. We enjoy excellent relationships with many local mainstream schools and pupils from our School regularly spend time with mainstream peers. We understand how crucial families are to the development of their child and we engage with our pupils' parents and siblings in a number of ways, many of which you will be able to read more about elsewhere on this website. Whilst we are delighted that Ofsted have recognised our work to be "Outstanding" in all aspects at each of our two most recent inspections, we are relentless in our drive to further develop these standards. Visitors regularly comment on the friendly, welcoming atmosphere and purposeful environment at school and you would be most welcome to arrange to come and see school for yourself.
