Prior to joining you will be allocated a 'buddy' who will provide you with informal advice and guidance.
On commencing employment you will attend a comprehensive 3-day induction event that explains the full scope of what we do, and allows you the opportunity to interact with your fellow new-starters.
Throughout the duration of your programme you will be offered a trained Mentor will offer support and provide information about MBDA, helping you build your skills and plan your career development for the future.
Together with significant on-the-job training you will also undertake a range of personal development activities promoting teamwork, communication, presentation and leadership skills.
In order to develop their presentation and mentoring skills, all graduates will be encouraged to participate in promoting science and engineering in schools and universities. This will also be beneficial for chartership logbooks if graduates are working towards a professional qualification.
All graduates have access to Knowledge Points. These are dedicated learning environments where employees can access approximately 3,000 online training courses. The facilities provide a virtual platform and offer training on a variety of topics, such as languages, business and professional development.
MBDA has three Knowledge Point facilities on site - one in Stevenage, one in Bristol and one in Lostock. Access to the Knowledge Points is booked through Facilities and graduate trainees are encouraged to make use of them to support their development.
