Our two year Airbus Graduate Programme (three years for Finance) offers roles within Commercial Aircraft and Defence and Space, and allows you to play a pivotal role in current and future projects. Graduates have an excellent opportunity to learn invaluable skills whilst developing personal and technical abilities. Over the two-three year scheme you will develop a comprehensive understanding of what we do and how we do it; the focused training and structured placements ensure you are fully equipped for your future career in Airbus and can master the type of managerial and technical skills required by Airbus. It's not only engineers we are looking for; there are opportunities in Cyber, Finance, HR, IT, Marketing, Sales, Project Management and Procurement. Our ranges of roles are located across the UK including the sites in Filton (Bristol) and Broughton (near Chester) for Commercial Aircraft, and Portsmouth, Stevenage and Hawthorn for Defence and Space, the location and business area will be made clear in the job description. While the programme is structured, it is not rigid, allowing you the chance to tailor your first two years with Airbus, combining a number of rotational placements with specialist training in the UK, as well countries such as France and Germany. We are looking for high-achieving, motivated graduates who are fluent in written and spoken English. Training & Development From day one, you will be assigned to a particular department and will be guided through the various placement opportunities that exist within your function and within the wider business. The programme includes core technical and behavioural training elements that will form an integral part of your learning and help you become familiar with the company and its culture. Placements in Defence and Space allow you to be involved in one of our graduate projects which means you can either work on a short technical project or work with various universities to develop key relationships with future graduates. Within Commercial Aircraft, graduates are encouraged to study towards professional accreditation and will often be supported financially to do this. It means you could work towards chartered status from the Institute of Mechanical Engineers, the IET or the Royal Aeronautical Engineering Society if you're an engineer. For non-engineers, chartered status can be achieved from bodies such as the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). You will also have considerable support during the scheme to ensure that your overall learning experience will complement your future career, which could include meetings with your:
Line/Placement Manager, who will help you with your development journey through recommending training courses, placements opportunities and will work with you to set tasks and objectives Graduate Programme Manager, who will ensure you are fully supported through the programme Senior Level Career Mentors, to offer guidance and support during your career progression. Chartership Mentor (Commercial Aircraft) to help you gain appropriate professional accreditation to aid career progression. Graduate Programme Buddy: a past graduate who will provide guidance throughout the programme, as well as being a point of contact 3 months before the start of your new role.
