Each placement offered will fall into one or more of the following categories; project accounting, management accounting or financial accounting. Early application is advised 12 MONTH INDUSTRIAL PLACEMENTS In just one year you could help develop a submarine that weighs 7,400 tonnes, can dive down to 200 metres and won't ever need re-fuelling. Or a 60ft bridge that takes three minutes to build and can carry a tank over ten different rivers in just one day. A plane that can fly at supersonic speeds, land vertically and not show up on radar. Or a state-of-the-art GPS, 18 wheels and caterpillar tracks, which also has the technology to help soldiers survive on the front line.
In fact, who knows what you'll achieve. This is where true performance begins. We have a range of undergraduate placements at various sites around the UK. All of them offer the chance to work with some amazing products on land, in the air, at sea or in our security and support functions. Any of them will see you develop new skills and gain valuable industry experience. Business Industrial Placements Business placements are available across the organisation. Our business functions are vital in helping us achieve and deliver £multi-billion projects.

Engineering Industrial Placements Engineering placements are available throughout our business within various engineering functions.
These could be in a number of engineering disciplines including: systems, software, electrical, mechanical and manufacturing engineering.
You'll share the challenges we take on every day, and also the longer-term objectives which shape everything we do. In turn you could even earn a place on the Graduate Development Framework. Finance Industrial Placements Here, you won't just be working on the financial aspects of the most exciting projects in defence aerospace and engineering.
You'll also be working - and learning - alongside some of the most accomplished people in their fields. You'll share in the everyday challenges we face, and in the longer-term objectives that go hand in hand with developing the technologies of the future. And, in most cases, you'll be able to do all that in the location that suits you best.
A successful one-year placement with us means that you may well be invited to apply for our Finance Development Programme (FLDP) when you graduate. Around half of the people who join us on this placement go on to the FLDP - a testament both to the quality of the programme and to the skills of the people we welcome on board.
