We built our first home in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1958. Since then, we've built over 400,000 more, becoming one of Britain's largest and best known home builders in the process.

Our graduate programmes As a new graduate, you can choose between a range of one-year and two-year
training programmes across construction site management, sales & marketing, land and planning, engineering & design, quantity surveying & buying, and other head office support roles. Whatever route you take, you're guaranteed broad business exposure and the opportunity to learn by working in live roles. There's also structured training to meet your professional development needs, the chance to build connections across our business, and personal mentoring from one of our Directors. We know our approach works because so many of our graduates are still with us today; in high-flying roles such as Finance Director, Head of Sales, Group Sustainability Manager and Strategic Land Manager. You can build a great career at Barratt, but the commercial and leadership skills you'll learn here are a great foundation for a career in any business.

Barratt Academy At the heart of our training programme is our Barratt Academy. Working in partnership with CITB - the Sector Skills Council for Construction - we offer industry-leading training through our range of programmes. These are designed for those in Sales, Customer Service, Construction, Land, Technical and Commercial disciplines. We also offer a transition programme into site management for the Armed Forces community. Each programme features both classroom and on-the-job training, and your development is overseen by a Director. It demonstrates just how seriously we take your progression.
