Company Information Hudson Advisors UK Limited and its global affiliates (collectively, “Hudson”) is a deeply experienced manager of commercial real estate, corporate, and financial assets. Since its inception in 1995, Hudson has been dedicated to the support of the private equity firm, Lone Star Funds (“Lone Star”) and the private equity funds advised by Lone Star (the “Funds”) investment activities globally, providing advisory services (including asset management and underwriting), and administrative and support services. Hudson, with more than 900 employees, has advised the Funds with respect to more than 1.2 million assets with an aggregate purchase price of approximately $224 billion (including acquisition financing and co-investors) since 1995. Its commercial real estate platform has managed more than 124,000 cumulative assets totaling more than $102 billion across the U.S., Europe, and Japan, including REITs, hotels, office buildings, multifamily and seniors housing, industrial buildings, golf courses, mixed-use, and retail properties across the capital stack. Position Summary & Responsibilities The successful Intern candidate will assist with the everyday asset and portfolio management of the Funds’ portfolios across a range of real estate sectors and European geographies. This will include (depending on sector): Ensuring that critical dates e.g. lease renewals, rent reviews, break clauses etc. are monitored and flagged via the correct channels in a timely fashion. Moreover, you will assist with the marketing and leasing of vacant spaces across a range of sectors including Office, Industrial, Retail, Leisure and Residential. Assisting with the monitoring of sales performance within operational portfolios in the Living sector (such as PBSA). Supporting the Development/Construction team with preparation of cost plans, construction programmes and recommendations to deliver underwritten business plans. Assisting with the regular preparation of KPI reporting to Fund Principles, both operational and financial as well as the preparation and presentation of materials to provide asset disposal recommendations to Fund Principles. Developing and integrating sustainability best practices / accreditations where necessary and work with the ESG team to drive client sustainability. Undertaking ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned by the Asset Management team. Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferably currently studying and undertaking a placement year or recently graduated from a Bachelors or Masters degree program in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration or related field, but will also accept young professionals and students from other educational streams and backgrounds. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint), with a particular focus on Excel. Basic understanding of real estate fundamentals and asset management principles. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Solid communication and language skills, with an understanding of the appropriate mediums and language for a variety of stakeholders and seniorities. Collaborate well with team members and business partners, as well as an ability to work independently under pressure. A genuine interest in real estate asset management and a desire to learn and grow in the field. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Able to adapt and evolve one’s actions, opinions and behavior as a result of changing priorities. Other Fluent English is essential, Additional language(s) would be beneficial, particularly Spanish, French or German. Willing to commute regularly to our London office.
