Birmingham Botanical Gardens, Edgbaston - The Botanical Gardens in Edgbaston are a protected area of outstanding natural beauty. There is a variety of wildlife and plants that are maintained to an impeccable standard.
The Molvern Hills - The Molvern Hills span 3000 acres and are the backdrop for a variety of activities including horse riding and even hand gliding. It's a protected area of outstanding natural beauty filled with wildlife, geology and walking/cycle routes.
Clent Hills - This natural area is popular for day trips from nearby midland towns. The rolling hills and serene countryside make for a peaceful day out and the conservation charity protects the environment and wildlife in the area.
Cadbury World - There are only two of these in the whole world. The self-guided exhibition tours let you into some of Cadbury's secrets. For a really sweet day out, there are also chocolate workshops available.
Bull Ring, Birmingham - A shopping centre in the centre of Birmingham that also has a food court with a selection of indoor dining areas. It's one of the most popular shopping centres in the UK.
Coventry Cathedral - Coventry Cathedral is a holy place of pilgrimage and healing. It's also a focal point of the city, partly because of its stunning architecture but also due to the value that its brings to the city and nation through education and art.
Dudley Zoo - Dudley Zoo is set around the ruins of an 11th century castle and includes some of the rarest creatures in the world. It is home to more than 1,300 animals and almost 200 species.
National Sea Life Centre - Mesmerising exhibitions of tropical wildlife make this a wonderful experience. The Centre also helps to rescue sick animals from the wild and takes part in conversation projects.
