About us:
Melrose is a privately owned Residential Care Home providing nursing for the elderly, in Worthing, West Sussex. Melrose was the only Nursing Home in the area which was still assessed as ‘Excellent’ by Care Quality Commission and awarded the top accolade of 3 stars when CQC stopped awarding stars. Further recognition of our excellence is our achievement of Beacon Status in our re-Accreditation in the Gold Standards Framework for End of Life Care.
Our dedicated team of Registered nurses, carers and housekeeping staff undergoes regular updating and training, ensuring a high quality, professional approach to all aspects of care.
Our Experience / Expertise:
We pride ourselves on delivering a truly person centred service. This is evidenced by the feedback we receive from our residents, particularly around the care, kindness and friendliness they experience from our staff.
Our Vision:
Is that our quality and compassion in care makes our care home and home care service is the first choice for people when thinking of their journey through the care system.
Career Opportunities & Training:
All our staff receive a full induction and training as necessary when first starting with us. After this, our team are trained annually in all mandatory training required for the role, plus other training as deemed necessary and desirable through the regular supervision and appraisal system. Most staff are also offered the opportunity to undertake NVQ qualifications in their specialist area.
All staff are encouraged and supported to develop their skills and expertise to enhance the service to our residents and for their own personal development and fulfillment.
Our Team/Staff:
We have a dedicated team of over 50 members of staff including nurses, carers, cleaners, kitchen staff, and a maintenance man. This ensures that residents’ requirements are met day and night, throughout the year. An on-going training programme keeps members of staff up to date, and we encourage and support all staff to take NVQ training in addition to their usual professional development.
