Salary:- £25 - 30k Location:- Oxford (Hybrid) Are you a recent engineering graduate with a strong interest in control and automation? A dynamic and innovative engineering company is seeking a Graduate Instrumentation and Actuation Engineer to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to embark on an accelerated training program designed to advance you to a senior engineering role within three years. Position Overview: As a Graduate Instrumentation and Actuation Engineer, you will provide critical technical expertise and support for valve applications, assist the engineering team, and collaborate with various departments. You will also be responsible for managing specific projects and tasks that are essential to the company’s success. Core Responsibilities: Technical Bid Assistance: Offer high-level technical support for bids, utilizing your knowledge in instrumentation and actuation. Instrumentation Expertise: Serve as an expert in instrumentation and actuation, resolving site challenges and keeping up with competitor products. Schematic Development: Create and maintain schematics and their associated databases to ensure accuracy and functionality. Actuator Development: Lead the development and integration of new in-house actuators as part of the company’s product roadmap. BOM Creation Support: Compile and maintain tools for instrumentation and bracketry to assist in the creation of Bill of Materials (BOM). Design Improvements: Continuously improve instrumentation kit designs and office tool kits by incorporating lessons learned from projects. Customer Specification Compliance: Ensure valve assemblies meet customer specifications and performance standards. Production Support: Provide support to production operations, including setup and troubleshooting when necessary. External Collaboration: Work with third-party partners on development projects to drive innovation. Required Qualifications and Skills: Degree or HND in an engineering discipline. Strong interest in control and automation technologies. Solid understanding of pneumatic systems and control valve performance requirements. Proficiency in CAD software such as Solid Edge, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD. Ability to identify and solve problems efficiently. Excellent attention to detail and a drive for continuous improvement. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Organized, methodical, and able to manage tasks effectively. Analytical skills with a focus on delivering timely results.
