Job Purpose This role will be working within the Medical Affairs team. The main focus will be working on Managed Access Programs (compassionate use, early access to medicines scheme and post study drug supply) across therapy areas to ensure appropriate access to medicines to support patients without other treatment option. The role is responsible for coordinating the review of unsolicited requests, in collaboration with relevant therapy area medical team, and ensuring the relevant documentation is in place prior to the provision of drug supply once suitably trained. It is anticipated the role will also work in other areas of medical affairs and flexibility will be required. Role Responsibilities: Day to day management of Managed Access Programs (MAPs) inbox for compassionate use program (CUP), early access to medicines scheme (EAMS) and post study drug supply (PSDS) requests Escalate issues, emergencies / drug supply challenges to MAP lead/manager in a timely fashion Coordinate review and approval of MAPs in line with global standards Complete GEMS system for managed access and provide input into GEMS system shaping and supporting the Global MAP team with system updates Collaborate with medical team to address external queries and send out formal MAP communications to doctors and pharmacists as applicable Support MAP lead/manager and medical team in the provision of accurate MAP reports and metrics, maintain drug supply and patient trackers, and input to process improvement Ensures MAP contracts are drafted, fully executed and tracked prior to provision of drug supply Work with MAP Lead/manager and UK Trial Operations to enable the transition of UK clinical trial patients to post-study drug supply Supports MAP lead/manager and operations team in set-up and delivery of Early Access to Medicines Scheme Support MAP lead/manager to manage drug supply inventory and management of accurate forecasting in collaboration with MAP, liaise with relevant teams to ensure drug supply is imported into the UK in a timely manner and liaise with external vendor to ensure local labelling, packaging and distribution of supply needs In collaboration with MAP Lead/manager, ensure transition of patients from IMP supply to commercial supply and/or NHS commissioned supply, as applicable Dependent on experience, interests and business need may take on additional or alternative accountabilities within other medical affairs teams The successful candidate will benefit from: Team oriented atmosphere Cutting edge science Working with diverse people and teams Development opportunities Making a difference to patient's lives We are looking for an individual who can meet the following criteria: Educated in Medicine, or Pharmacy (completed pre-registration pharmacy exams) Experience within UK healthcare and /or pharmaceuticals environment is an advantage, but not necessary. Clear motivation and ambition to gain experience in a medical affair environment. Ability to evidence skills which are transferrable to the business environment (e.g., good time management, teamwork) experience of successfully working with teams through work, academic and/or extracurricular activities. Able to work independently and as part of a team Able to prioritise and manage multiple requests Attention to detail Communicates well with healthcare professionals You will be able to demonstrate. Proactivity – ability to work independently and proactively under own initiative, taking responsibility and driving projects and activities to a successful conclusion. Fluency in English - verbal and written – is required. You will be IT savvy and highly proficient with Microsoft office (Outlook, Excel, PPT skills and Word at Advanced Level) Additional Information Please ensure that you are willing and able to live within commutable distance of the company site before applying. This placement is based in White City in London, and we would like you to be in the office a minimum of 12 days per month, to aid your development in working with and learning from your team. You will need to be eligible to work in the UK.
