Graduate/Junior Developer & Tester (Java) - a leading provider of financial software and data management Location - Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire (Very flexible, mostly remote with onsite days 1 x per week/every other week) Salary - up to £35,000 Are you looking to start your career in Java software development and automation testing in a BBD environment? Previously acquired by Capita, this company's financial software solutions are relied on in the private, public, housing, and Not for Profit sector organisations. This is an excellent opportunity to start your career in software development and automation engineering, working within a team, led by a Project Owner and alongside a Business Analyst, testers and developers. A great Graduate/Junior Developer & Tester (Java) will have: Computer Science degree Completed university modules/projects in Java Happy to commute one day a week to Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire As a Graduate/Junior Developer & Tester (Java), you will be working on projects such as: Writing Java code and using Selenium WebDriver for automated testing, with small aspects of manual QA. You will also use web service tests such as REST. Opportunities to work on pipeline projects in Azure DevOps and Docker. Opportunities to assume greater responsibilities and enhance your ownership as your skillset expands Their tech stack is Java (versions 8 to 17), Maven, TestNG/Junit, Cucumber, Selenium Webdriver/Rest Assured. We also have some frameworks such as DBUnit, Spring Data (SQL with JDBC), Spring DI.
